Oval BA, also known as “Red Spot Jr.” is an enormous storm on Jupiter  that was formed by three smaller storms which coeleasced over a century or so. This piece is inspired by the coalescing of these three storms into one, with a cacophony of prerecorded cello sounds mixed with public-domain sounds recorded directly from the NASA Voyager Space shuttle as it flew near jupiter, as well as House dance beat-like fragements interuppting in and out of the textures. These sounds have all been filtered and modified, interacting and exchanging material with the live cello.
